A manly blend of rustic herbs and oils. Patchouli, sage & rosemary amongst other woodland scents. This makes for a nice relaxing, therapeutic bath for the earthy mountain man.
(Another manly variation I will post is for Patchouli Sage)
I'll put a basic list of all the optional ingredients and you can pick and choose what you'd like to use for your own preference.
What You'll Need:
(Optional to your preferences)
- Epsom Salts
- Eucalyptus
- Patchouli
- Sage or Sage Oil
- Wild Orange
- Cinnamon or Cinnamon Oil
- Rosemary
- Bay Leaf
- Sandal Wood / Cedar Wood
- Dragon's Blood Oil
- Clove
- Chamomile
We make most of our bath blends in bulk, meaning at least 2 liters are made at one time. SO I will try my best to downsize this recipe the best I can for those of you that wouldn't make such a massive batch. I usually eyeball ingredient amounts when it comes to bath blends. Also going by my preference of smell. I encourage you to do the same.
For a regular 16 oz (500ml) mason jar (which will be enough to fill at least 10 organza bags for baths) these are the approximate measurements:
- 450ml Epsom salts - (just leave enough room to be able to shake or mix all your ingredients)
1 tsb each of the following herbs / spices:
(we used a mortar & pestle for the herbs that say crunched.)
- Cloves crunched (1-2 whole cloves is enough)
- Chamomile Flowers
- Sage / White Sage (Ceremonial)
- Cinnamon crunched (not much cinnamon is needed to be effective)
- Eucalyptus leaves crunched
- Bay leaf crunched
- Rosemary
1-3 drops each of the following oils:
- Wild Orange
- Patchouli
- Sage / Clary Sage or White Sage
- Dragon's Blood
- Cedarwood / Sandalwood
- Cinnamon (If you didn't have the spice)
Mix all of your chosen ingredients thoroughly and store in airtight jar(s)
